Deliverables:
LARGE FORMAT POSTERS
Objective:
Create a series of posters with simplified American historical content. Content must be legible from a distance and not interfere with retail signage.
Inside info:
Huge shout out to the Library of Congress and their photo archive. Seriously, their catalog made it easy to sift through and locate headshots of supreme court justices, founding fathers, civil rights leaders, and journalistic photographs of important moments in US history, This could not come together in the short timeframe of the project without this collection.
Design Notes:
Converting a wide range of paintings, sepia, and color photographs into monochromatic images visually ties together this mishmosh of historical assets. Black and white photos have the added benefit, in a modern era, to immediately convey history and importance.
